David, a spirit, finally has his soulmate with him. Kim, now a spirit as
well, is new to the afterlife and is relieved that she has David to guide her
through this new realm.

This sequel takes off where “In the Dark” left off. David and Kim
become even closer to each other as they learn just what a ghost can do,
and not do. Their human life has helped them navigate this new afterlife
and they grow together and still look after Beverly, David’s mother.
Beverly’s ex-husband has still caused her heartbreak and fear, with
threats to her life. If David and Kim weren’t with her, it would have been
worse.

Harry Jones, the CIA agent, has helped Beverly and her two “kids”
this whole time and has promised to see it through to the end. Jones
admits that this has been the strangest case he has ever had, but also,
putting a top ten dangerous criminal behind bars has kept him ever
diligent.

Even though David has taught Kim “ghostie” things, he also taught
her that they do have limitations and dangers that could hurt them.
Can David and Kim help Beverly obtain peace before being taken up
to the light?
